Hey guys, we’ve been talking about creating a short film for the Christian Short Film Festival: Ignite for a few weeks now. Time’s running out, let’s make a movie!
Basically we need to choose:
a) a passage of the bible that has the idea of light in it and fits one of the 7 themes: Grace, Humility, Justice, Miracles, Sacrifice, Unity, Wisdom.
b) a great way to make a film based on it. It can be any kind of movie as long as it’s under 5 minutes.
We need YOU GUYS to tell us what you want to do. This is something we’re going to do as SLICE. So post any ideas, any thoughts, anything you think would be good for our film. Don’t worry about the words you use, just hit post!

To kick us off, here are a few verses that talk about ‘light’:
John 8:12
I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and paise your Father in heaven.
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
1 John 1:5-7
God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in darkness, we life and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Over to you guys! Picture these verses in your mind, and then try and think how you could make a short story out of it or how it could look on camera!

I think we should do it when Jesus was in the tomb and o the 3rd day he rose from the died
